Early
arrivals.
This is
your second chance to operate a front end loader and backhoe in relative privacy
so you can make your mistakes and learn. No one was hurt last time except the
young lady we had to yank off the backhoe so someone else got a turn.
Campfire 1800-when ever. If you missed the last one, well this is your next best
chance to solve all the worlds problems.
Saturday June 9
0700-0900 Breakfast; You bring it, you cook it, we provide the stove and coffee
that will yank the dead awake.
0900-0950 Casing a water well. We drilled it last conference, now we case it.
Next time we pump it. Instructor: Paul Range
1000-1050 Basic Canning. Two part class, the morning will be actual canning
demo. Carol Grosser
1100-1150 Baking with Sprouts: Two part class. Instructor: Lester Germanio
1200-1300 Lunch Bring your own, stove available
1300-1350 Rainwater Harvesting. Just like it says. Instructor to be announced
1400-1430 Basic Canning, Second part, checking the cans/jars Inst. Carol Grosser
1430-1450 Baking with Sprouts, Part 2, checking the baked product. Inst. Lester
Germanio
1500-1550 Basic Aquaponics/Barrelponics. Build a basic unit. Inst. Paul Range
1600-1650 Sprouting class or Worm bins class or maybe both.
1800-whenever Supper: We provide the absolute, worlds best BBQ, done by Mikey
the Marine. You provide everything else, pot luck. Campfire: Last next best
chance to solve the worlds problems.
Sunday
June 10
0700-1000 Breakfast: Again we provide the stove/dutch oven, you provide your own
fixings. Coffee strong enough to fix foundations.
0700-0850 More tractoring assuming some unnamed person has not run the thing out of diesel running it all nite.
0900-0950
Square foot gardening Inst. Pego
1000-1200 Plants: Wildcrafting, Herbs/Edibles/Not good for you, plant walk
around. Inst, SILVERCRONE, Allen and Pego. We are going to have 3 instructors so
to break the class into smaller units for more personal instruction.
1200-1300 Lunch, Same deal, you are on your own.
1300-whenever More plants. Seed and Plant Exchange. Bring some, get some.
There
may be other impromptu classes as the spirit directs.
We have
the field mowed so plenty of camping spaces. Bring tents, cots, blankets,
chairs. We have some floor spaces inside the building. This time classes will be
down stairs to accommodate those who have trouble climbing stairs. Up stairs on
the porch (840 sqft) will be additional sleeping areas and a chimnea for those
desiring.
There
is no charge for the conference.
We ask
you keep a civil tongue as there will be children present.
There
will be no illegal drugs on the property, period.
Bring
your dog and other cat/dog friendly pets. Unruly pets and some children will be
on a leash.

Directions:
From Austin. I-35 to SH123 in San Marcos. SH123 South to Stockdale, past Stockdale a couple of miles turn right on FM537, 7 miles to left on CR233, ¾ mile (has a zig, zag in road) turn left on CR232, ¼ mile to green mailbox on left 1977 with American Flag.
From Houston: Up I-10 to Sequin, left on 123 to Stockdale, then follow above directions from Stockdale.
From San Antonio: South on I37 to 181, left to Floresville, thru town to left on FM537. Here is the deal FM537 takes a funny left about 6 miles from where you turned off 181. Its marked, but if you don’t take that left where it says to you will end up in Poth. The next deal. Going down FM537 you are going to come across CR232 on your right. Unless you like ribbed, sandy roads go on 2 miles to CR233, turn right (road has a zig, zag in it) go ¾ mile, turn left on CR232, go ¼ mile and turn left on green mailbox 1977 with American Flag.
